BOY MEETS GIRL

Contributing to the ever-growing trend of blurring the line between mens and women wear, Vanessa Bruno's Fall 2013 collection styled boxy, boyish outwear, against pleated skirts and her characteristically girly shift dress.

Buttoned all the way to the top, Bruno's tunics evoked the lifestyle of idealistically 1960s preppy, English school girl sportswear. Paired with the military-sharp coats in graphic blocks of black, grey and white, pieces were injected with quilted leather shoulders and oversized grommet decorated hems to further draw upon the Courrèges-esqe inspired mood of the show.

If anything, Bruno, like many other designer's this season, has further inflated the dichotomy that will be born on the pavements of next Fall - cocoon oneself in flowing pinstripe suits or, bare those legs of yours à la ADR.
